Superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster film ‘Billa’ was remade starring Ajith in the lead role. The success of ‘Billa 2007’ has created a new trend in Kollywood. Now it seems that the industry is reeling under the fever of remaking the Superstar Rajini’s old films.

Few filmmakers have registered many titles of Rajinikanth’s old hits with the Producers Council. Around 30 titles have been registered so far. However it is not an easy job to get the rights to remake a film from the Producers Council.

‘Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan’ faces problems!0

The unit of ‘Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan’ went to Adikesava Perumal Kovil which is located in Sriperumputhur has witnessed some unfortunate incidents. Thousands of people gathered on the shooting spot when they knew that Vadivelu and many other actors were visiting the place. The problem occurred when the whole unit had there breakfast served in leaves. Most of them threw the leaves in the premises of the temple after eating. The local people were annoyed and took a strong objection to the act. They went to the extent of stalling the shooting of the film.

Then the Councilors and other officials of the area came to the spot. But even they could not calm down the public. So they requested the team to vacate the place for the time being. The unit had left the place and came back after the people left and they conducted the shooting without any difficulty. The film is expected to be released for Pongal. The shooting for the film is completed and the post production work is going on.

‘Mirugam’ is directed by Samy starring Aadhi and Padma Priya in the lead roles. The film has obtained ‘A’ certificate from the censor board and hence women will keep away from the film. So the team has decided to attract women audiences.

They have decided to arrange a free show at Udhayam Theatre in Chennai on December 22nd. The matinee show will be free for women and the men who accompany the women will have to pay for the ticket. The director is confident that the women would definitely like the film.
